On July 11, GreenToronto joined North Star Special Needs Society's Buddy Up Program in Markham, where three Green Toronto youth members Mia Cao, Darren Zhang and Austin Zhang volunteered alongside other NorthStar volunteers to support three children with autism during a two-hour art workshop.

The children participated in two guided activities - an origami craft and a Canadian landscape painting using acrylic techniques. With patient guidance and encouragement, each child explored their creativity, completed artwork they were proud of, and most importantly, enjoyed the process. The art activities were designed and led by Mia Cao, Curriculum Design Team Leader of GreenToronto who planned both projects, trained the volunteer team, and guided the children step by step throughout the workshop.
