On February 28, volunteers and organizers from GreenToronto, a nonprofit organization founded by Lorvale students, held another environmental workshop called "Turning Waste into Treasure." Twenty young students from Lorvale used empty toilet paper rolls to create their own binoculars. They worked together, using their imagination to decorate and assemble their unique designs. The event showed how everyday waste can be turned into fun and useful teaching materials. Organizers also demonstrated ways to recycle materials like paper rolls and string. Through this activity, the children shared the message that "protecting the environment starts with small creative ideas in daily life." This perfectly reflects GreenToronto’s goal of building a sustainable city.
